We started this adventure because as "Southern Dachshunds" we are often asked if we can board dogs we have sold while their families are away. I always loved to say yes. But as we grew, that meant having to say no more and more. So now we have a dedicated space just for boarding that will never be used for breeding dogs. It's not fancy, but it's cozy, clean and safe. Your pets will get the same love as they would if they were in my kennels with my litters. My daughter MacKenzie who was in grade school when I started breeding will be managing the boarding. She has a love for dogs, had a dachshund from our very first litter and has one of my retired males now as well. While we cater mostly to our own "SD" customers, we will accept any smaller sized dogs. Our kennels right now will hold a smaller corgi, a standard size dachshund and anything smaller. There are plans for the future to build and we might be able to take in larger dogs at that time.
